What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. SDR Lab is operated by Venture Harbour Ltd, the data controller for the purposes of UK and EU data protection law.
Who we are

What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the site and respond to you:
- Things you send us. If you submit the contact form, request quotes from agencies, submit a tool, apply to list an agency, or join the newsletter, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email, company and the content of your message or brief.
- Usage data. Like most sites, we collect basic technical and analytics data — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser — to understand what's useful and keep the site fast and secure.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data, and we don't ask for payment-card details on this site.
Why we use it (legal bases)
- To respond to you and provide what you asked for — e.g. fanning your brief out to the agencies you selected. Legal basis: performing a contract or taking steps at your request.
- To send the newsletter, if you opted in. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw any time via the unsubscribe link.
- To run and improve the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in operating a useful, safe service.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the providers that help us run the site, and only as needed:
- Agencies you choose. When you request quotes, we pass your brief to the specific agencies you ticked — no one else.
- Service providers. Our hosting provider, our email provider (used to send notifications and the newsletter), and our analytics provider process data on our behalf under data-processing terms.
- Legal. Where we're required to by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and quote-request data for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period after, then delete it. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@ventureharbour.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and for analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect how the site works.
